ROYAL RANDWICK

Its that time of year, spring has arrived , there is a warm fuzzy feeling in the air, and all the girls are pulling out their one off frocks for the Royal Randwick races.

I love the new add campaign, and got even more excited when i pulled up next to a bus the other day and saw a childhood friend, who is also my model this weekend for my photo shoot, plastered all over the bus. 

I wanted to share with you all the video plus the behind the scenes, and introduce you all to Jaimee Crofts ( the gorgeous red head), who is one talented  17 yr old, who you should all expect big things from. 

L A Z Y S U N D A Y

After being up at 7 on a sunday morning ( way to early i know ) i am having a little break from sewing my collection, which is coming on well (stressed look apperas on my face hahah ).

 

The photoshoot is next saturday, which is very exciting. I cant wait to do a little behind the scenes video. 

Anyway i am doing a jewellery competition/ giveaway on my ELLEQUE facebook page at the moment, in which there are two Rings up for grabs, all you have to do is like the page and then tag your self in the photo of which ring you would like to win. 

The winner of each ring will be announced next saturday night at 10pm.

J A M I E A S H K A R . . . . .

JAMIE ASHKAR

(This is one name you wont want to forget)

Due to studying fashion, there comes the perks of entering competions upon competions to try and get your name/ label out in the competitive world of fashion and to be recognised. 

Jamie started his own label JAMIE ASHKAR well before he decided to study fashion design, yet only felt it was right to do a course in which he can better educated himself. In his most recent brief tailoring he did a small collection influenced by Botanicals, and i'am so proud of what he has produced.  

As a result he most recently entered the MORE THAN YOU IMAGINE tafe competition in which he has been shortlisted and the public are allowed to view and vote for his garment. The winner will recieve $1500 in which he will be putting it towards getting a kick start in the industry plus everyone who votes will go into the draw for a double pass to the Sydney Institute 120 Gala Dinner and Showcase, worth $270.

All shortlisted entries will be on display in the Muse, Ultimo College, from 4-16 October, 

with all winners announced on 5 October.

NAME CHANGE

 i am so attached to my blog name Balmy Whispers, and I am sad to see it go, but its for the best. Due to starting up my clothing fashion label, its only proper to have my blog with the same name.

But it wont be the last you hear of BALMY WHISPERS as the name is in-fact the name of my up coming summer 2011/12 collection.

WELCOME SPRING.


 So it the first day of SPRING, YAY finally it has come. I have had a countdown happening in anticipation for this day, and i am so happy to wake up to a beautiful clear blue sky with the slightest breeze. 

Now this is a pretty big post, the biggest i think i've done by far since i started this 

lovely blog less then a year ago.

Due to being the first day of SPRING, i wanted to introduce you all to SUMMERBLOSSOM

One if the cutest/ most stylish and adorable head accessories label that i have come across. I have been hearing about this lovely label for over a year but only just came to my realisation of how much i love them the other day, when i saw there most recent photo shoot A FAERY'S SONG.
