JOHANNA JOHNSON DAY 2

JOHANNA JOHNSON

I have always loved and adored the beautiful gowns which Johanna produces, and although i feel the styling for this collection may be slightly to heavy i think she has stepped it up in her debut of showcasing her evening gowns at MBFW.

Gold, charcoal, onyx, champagne, silver and ivory: they sound rich in succession and look even more affluent when trotted down the runway. They're also exactly what appeared in bejewelled glory from behind the gilded curtain at Mercedes-Benz Presents Johanna Johnson.
In Australia's very first Mercedes-Benz Presents show Johanna Johnson absolutely delivered with a parade of pieces worthy of red carpets the world over. No stranger to VIP dressing, Johnson has been helping celebrities look good for events such as the Oscars and Met Ball for years. With her biggest lifestyle collection to date, the opulence is now available to all.
Front-row lovers of luxe swooned over the top-to-toe beading brought to life in full-length gowns with plunging necklines and dipped backs. Velvet, lace, sequins, feathers and leather were all incredibly presented in an array of pieces, each one a show stopper. Individually beautiful but glorious in combination, the collection was a dream black tie wedding party come to life.
The show finished with model Samantha Harris walking with the designer, who wore a black velvet dress and smiled modestly amidst warm applause from the full house. Afterwards, VIPs moved to the Mercedes-Benz Star Lounge where the after-party continued in the glow of the harbour lights.
One of the most photographed and attended shows on the schedule, the Mercedes-Benz Presents Johanna Johnson show was undoubtedly a highlight of MBFWA which will surely translate into commercial success. It's fair to say we look forward to what the gifted designer will come up with next
