WEDDING BLISS

BEC & DAN

What a stunning wedding. I had already seen some sneaky pics of Bec's wedding via instagram, but got so excited when i stumbled across this stunning post featured on style me pretty weddings australia.
Enjoy . x

Just one glance at this fabulous affair will make you feel like your cup of coffee magically changed into a glass of the finest bubbly, your weekday wardrobe transformed into a party dress complete with a fabulous set of heels and your office is actually an event space worthy of the style pages. It’s a soiree that has style and THEN some, and I suppose that is to be expected when the gorgeous Bride is also the mastermind behind Bec & Bridge. But even with all that, it’s complete with a couple that wants nothing more than to tie the knot surrounded by their nearest and dearest – and that, my loves, is our favorite kind of glamour

From the Bride & Groom… We met through mutual friends about 9 years ago and instantly became best friends. We have been together ever since. We love that after so long together we are still able to laugh every night and cherish all the time we get to spend with each other. To propose, Dan organized a romantic dinner on the balcony at Cafe Sydney, where he gave Bec a ring that his mother had given him. He had organized for family and friends to surprise them at their apartment with champagne and dessert when they left dinner. We wanted a really elegant wedding that was modern, but still very relaxed, light-hearted and warm. We both love Italy and Italian food and way of life so our wedding was inspired by the island of Capri. Philip Carr, our wedding planner, achieved this by using yellow and white cabana striped couches, festoon string lighting, terracotta pots filled with lemons and decadent cheese platters.
Dan spent the four months before the wedding learning to play the piano. He had never learned a musical instrument but really wanted to surprise Bec. After they both spoke together, he went over to the grand piano and played “Close Cover” by Wim Mertens. Bec was blown away! We felt so blessed to have so many family and friends come from all over the world. We had three members of our bridal party who came from New York, as well as cousins from Mexico, South Africa and Israel. It was truly amazing! So many things made our day special but some highlights included our warm, extremely loving families; our fantastic bridal party; crazy dancing; beautiful speeches and having both our grandmothers, Sally Stark and Lotti Lewinsky, able to come and share the celebration with us.
We were truly blown away by Marcus’s photography. He captured the atmosphere perfectly and the pictures really told a story. Marcus somehow manages to capture people’s feelings and expressions like no other photographer we have ever seen. As far as advice for other couples, try not to get too caught up in all the stress, and enjoy the time leading up to the wedding. Take the marriage seriously — not the wedding!
